Hey, just wondering with all this App St. win and hype the earned. I got to thinking if they would have beat your team. In my case, Tech. THey were fast like WVU and spread like them as well. And they held UM offense when it needed to. So, do you think they would have beat your team. Sound off!!!

NO! I don't think they would've beaten WVU...Their game plan was based on speed...The problem there would've been that so is ours, and our guys are faster... It would've been a shootout for sure..

You never know. Thank goodness that UT doesn't schedule AA teams. With the way UT was tackling, they very well may have been beaten. UT's offense looked good most of the night, but I have questions about the defense. I will take the Clinton defense strategy (deny, deny, deny, until you can't deny any longer and I can still deny)

Sounds a lot like the 3-3-5 defense....

I think they would have taken down GT. Hell at least it would have been a better fight than the domers put up against you guys. As for beating GA, nope dont see it. OK state ran that offense and GA handled them.

With the speed and their D stepping up when needed and the lucky breaks with the field goal, they squeeked by. So, I am not sure if they would have beaten Tech. But last year, WVU was fast like them and spread us out. We hung with them and played a great game. And they had very fast recievers. So, I don't know if they would have. I think it would have been close. Our D is fierce this year, so I don't know. I will stay a homer and say no as most will. But, I think it would be closer than expected. So I will give them the def. possibility...

You think they could do all of that on our D. Our D is better than your ATL, you have to be kiddin. On the field and on paper. Are you kiddin? Seriously?

Freeze, I was just messing with you. Your defense did look very good against ND, but like I keep saying about GA and others, lets get a few games into the season then we will really see where teams are at. Wouldnt you agree?

I would agree. And I know you was. We, or I always do. I think after the BC game, we will know. Or the Clemson. So, for ya'll, after what, USC or later? UT?

I would say after UT, see how the boys do. I was impressed with them last saturday night, but maybe OK state bought into the hype that they would just run up and down the field on ga's defense and wasnt prepared. Dont know yet, but GA looked good to me. Then again a few more games will really tell the story. I would say for you after the clemson game, they looked good last night, there defense is either very good or FSU is just that bad.

Hey freeze, or any of you other Techies, I have two extra tix for the Clemson/Tech game (part of the Flex pack I had to buy to get the UGA/Tech tix) that I have to get rid of if you know anyone interested... I'd rather watch us stomp Ole Miss than have to watch Tech football.

I really don't think Okla. St. is all that good. Probably a bowl team, but I think I'd still rank em 5th in the Big 12 South. They may end up 4th if they catch a few breaks. And no, I don't think App. St. would've kept it close against my Sooners. I think Michigan just overlooked them and got bit for it.

There will always be friends. Since I go to every game I usually just a ticket for someone to go with me each year. I mean, I go with my family but some of my friends usually don't go. How much and where are they at? Yeah, just let me know.

sooner, Please don't take this the wrong way but I wouldn't say that the little can't beat ya. UM should have taken a page from OU's book. It can happen to anyone. Troy almost got Tech, FSU, and Nebraska last year. Ya just never know...

Matching speed with speed is what that would have taken. I watched the game and Michigan never looked like they believed that App State would score. Even when they did it seemed as though it was a gift to appy state. They were convinced of their superior talent. They did not believe Appy State would win and.... If you ask me .......... that they actually did win. Seems to me like everyone is looking for an excuse (with the exception of a few people.)
A few things linger. How hard do you prepare for a 1AA team and how hard do they prepare for you? I am certain that the ratio is vastly in favor of the 1AA opponent. You have to believe that the talent on your team is better. You do not put your best plays ...... best defenses... or best prospects forward in for all the world to see. It bit Michigan in the ass. Better luck next year.

I don't see them beating LSU. LSU took them to the woodshed in 2005.

It just might work, as long as they play weak opponents.

I don't think the Jackets would of lost. But part of that is because I think Troy put up a good enough game last year that they wouldn't overlook them. I think Michigan may have been over looking App State. But, App State did play fast as hell with a great spreed going. I think it would of been similar to the GT WVU Gator Bowl but with App St not coming all the way back to win by 3. Instead I think they would of lost by a few.

Most likely. But I can't put that in print can I?
No way then! The MIGHTY Rebels would prevail!!
OK, yeah, they probably would have won. Can I answer after this Saturday when we play Mizzou?

The best quote I have heard surrounding this whole ordeal for UM was on the radio yesterday:
"Appalachian State spent the last 6 months preparing to beat Michigan, but Michigan spent the last 6 months preparing to beat Oregon."
A simple statement, but often the truest words are simply stated.

I think the Oregon game will say a lot. If Michigan lost because they simply weren't good enough, the Oregon game isn't going to go well for them either. But if it was just a let down that occurred for any or all of the usual reasons, Michigan is going to come in loaded for bear and looking to make a statement to try to get some of their old respect back.
