I think someone laced your brownies cff. That is absolutely prepostorous; Bama by 14. Vandy's D will not contain the various receivers and tailbacks of Bama. Bama112 the use of the term "prepostorous" is unacceptable as per the TOS of this makeshift board....

I realize that I've gotten spoiled in typing things with spellcheck & autocorrect. But, you feel free to be the spelling police.

Bamano, he is not criticizing your spelling, it is your use of big words that he is criticizing.

My comment about the word had nothing to do with spelling...even with spell check I mispell everything so you will never see me correct someones spelling. It was the word itself....way to big for this board...dummy it down Counsel...

First things, Geaux, Alabama cant be this weeks Michigan because no in conference loss will ever be that bad on a national scale.
As far as the game goes, its not about beating Vandy, its if Bama wins by 3 TDs or more that would be the statement. Being a 3.5 fav, the Harmon forecast predicting a Bama win by 2 and Bruce Feldman on ESPN predicting Bama by 1, the statement would be winning by 20 or more for Bama. Thats where the statement will come from.

big game for both schools. like someone said earlier, vandy hasn't won since '84. which is not to say they haven't had close games, like last year when vandy should have won. vandy can afford to lose this one, since they've lost 19 in a row; bama can't, not with all this hype. 23-22 vandy

Lotta negativity surrounding the Tide it appears. Calling Vandy to win is wishful thinking for haters. Tide by 10-14.

Wow. There's a rarity. Me agreeing with teddy. This is a "progression" game for Bama; it's no more imoportant than any other team they would play this week for the sole reason that you take each opponent & focus on it until the job is done & the game concluded.

I think when you hate other teams, you fail to look @ the actual talent level on the field when that team plays. Alabama is just flat out more talented than Vandy. Sorry. I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, but they are. It could be a close game, but it could just as easily be a cakewalk for Bama. Just as in his early days @ MSU, Saban needs to prove points about where the program is heading (by the way, don't get your panties on fire, but he didn't finish the job in Lansing) and I think not letting down in his 1st SEC road game is par for the course with him.

Teddy, from a talent standpoint what so different about this year as opposed to last year? By the way, you assume we are hating as well as soley talking about talent. Very shortsighted. Like I said earlier, Vandy always gives Bama a mouthful, like USM does and like Ole Miss does with LSU.

I never thought Bama had bad talent. Recruiting numbers over the past several years will show you the gap between Bama and candy Vandy. The issue was bringing out that talent in the right way. That's what makes a good coach and by residual effect, a good team. For instance, Zook can mow in talent...but he's not a great either play caller or teacher. Carr can recruit and teach, but he cannot call plays worth shit. Saban on the other hand can recruit, he can teach (and admits he loves that aspect of it) and he's a fairly decent playcaller. I think he will bring out the best in Bama. I still think it's an 8-4 type of team, but I think you'll see imrovement. Saban knows how much his first SEC game back means.

sure, bama has the better talent, but vandy is out to prove they aren't the usual pushover in SEC play. i'm looking forward to watching it at 11:30 tomorrow

Here is the fearless prognostication for this game...(not mine)
Alabama at Vanderbilt: The Pachyderms got off to a fast start last week against the Catamounts, and didn’t let up until Western called mercy. It was more like a pharaoh had arrived, with thousands camped outside the stadium watching the game on the Quad. The Doormats lit up Richmond. Year after year, the Sinking Ships play ‘Bama close. Year after year, they learn close only counts in horseshoes. And bourbon. Pachyderms 37 Doorknobs 10
