i spit my beer all over myslef. For starters, who thought this was a good idea?
Secondly, I couldn't understand anything comming out of his mouth, and i kept waiting for him to slip up and say "lets go get'em irish!"
Then i started to think about if it were real, and how all the players would be sitting around the lockerroom looking at eachother like "what the hell did coach just say?", and then the linemen sitting in the corner trying not to laugh......at this point i really lost it and i think i might have pissed of my neibors i was laughing so hard.

The man has won football games wherever he has coached and is a motivational speaker. What was it you say that you did again? Look, I am not the biggest fan of Holtz, but he is far from a Corso.

I saw it, it was funny (the parts I could understand anyway) Typical Lou Holtz I saw it this AM and I was completely embarrassed for him and ESPN. You gotta believe these guys sit around and think of these ideas spur of the moment. Seriously, what else do these guys do when there not on air? Do they think Michigan players watched this guy and feel like they can win because of his blabbering?

I just turned off the TV because they're playing it again. Honest to God, who friggin' thought it'd be a great idea to put someone that speaks that poorly in a commentator's position? Then add to that a total lack of objectivity and is there anyone less qualified to be a talking head on the boob-tube?

Sad - at least Lou said last night that the polls shouldn't come out until October - that shows he has at least one functioning brain cell -

I dont care .... I like Lou Holtz. You can tell that when he talks about football .. (Yes he has a speach impediment but I know of many people who do as well) that he is fired up about it. he loves it. This is another one of those guys who has forgotten more about football than anyone here. So laugh it up ... He gets paid more than us.

That have broadcasting contracts? You're missing the point.
As for getting paid for it, that's also missing my point. He's obviously being paid by idiots. If an intelligent, knowledgable person compiled a list of candidates for that position and ranked them by their net qualifications, Lou Holtz would almost be guaranteed to be at the bottom.

ESPN has turned into a joke the past few years. Right before halftime, they were plugging the upcoming pep talk. That means some decision-maker actually likes it, Craig James said he thought Lou was good at it...

Lou Holtz needs to get with LEE CORSO (not LEE TORSO)...and have one hell of a show! Now...that being said.....I like the idea of the "LEE TORSO" show....it would be a hit. Imagine LEE on TV saying the Big 10 Sucks. Grandmas from Detroit would be callin' in wanting to kick my ass!
