Not bad..In the pre-season, I wasn't too impressed w/ UCLA being ranked that high... This is a good game for them to impress some people. BYU is no pushover..

I'm glad I at least get this game, though it's on a channel I've never heard of and didn't know I have. "VS"? Channel 603 on DirecTV.

It's complicated to quantify. I came back with about $400 extra cash after I spent a lot of what I won, but most significant is the Diamond status I attained. Now I can get free suites at any Harrah's owned property in the world within 48 hours with just a phone call, they assign a host to me for the duration of my stays, they pay for my meals and drinks, free health club membership, Diamond Lounge access (really nice gifts and club), invitations to all their VIP events and tournaments, tickets on the Harrah's private yacht on Lake Tahoe once a year, 2 free show tickets every month, dinner for 4 at any of their restaurants on my birthday each year, etc. That's worth much more than I won on the tables. The suites alone run around $500 per night.
I'm also well on my way to 7-star status, their unpublished top award. When I get that, they'll fly me and a guest to any of their resorts in the world once each year in addition to the perks above, and they give limo use to and from the airport and events.

dpb, why are the colors inverted on the C in UCLA in the endzone? I've never noticed them do that before.

Don't know. Not getting the game. It's on some bizarre channel I've never heard of before called "VS". It's on 603 in DirecTV, I'm surprised I get it.

This channel must be new. They just did an ad and it's called "Versus: College Football", and it's listed as VS.

Isn't that the old "Outside" channel or whatever it was called? OLN?

Sounds like you are happy Did I mention I also get free golf? If they'd only throw in the woman of my choice it'd be heaven. I've never played Rio Secco out by Vegas, but apparently I get a round there once a year now. Yeah, I'm happy about it. It doesn't feel like it should be real. The system I'm using makes it hardly even gambling. I think when my wife gets back next Monday I'm going to call and exercise my right to a room in Vegas so that I can teach her the system. They allow spouses to use the same card, so we'll be able to double up the rate of money and rewards earned. If we can go 3 days without running into a glitch, I might start doing this every weekend. Flights to Vegas are cheap from here (I'm only 3 hours away driving anyway), so we'd easily be able to win enough in 30 minutes to cover the airfare.

I wouldn't go that far in this game. UCLA wasn't that highly ranked and BYU was receiving votes and was just outside the top 25. A game within a TD after 3 quarters between teams ranked within 10 of each other isn't that big a thing.

Didn't realize this was the Mormon Bowl. Forgot that both QBs are older Mormons returning to their position after their 2 year missions.

Bruins win. They may not be great, but they are 2-0, which is more than a lot of other teams can say.
