With freshman forward Ed Davis' increased offensive presence of late, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether the reserve might jump to the NBA after this season. Asked Saturday if he will consider it, he said "no." "I just want to win a national championship, I just want to play my years at Carolina, that's all I'm thinking about right now," said Davis, whose Tar Heels play Oklahoma in the regional final Sunday. Davis is averaging 6.7 points and 6.7 rebounds this season. His dad, Terry, played in the NBA for 10 years.

I've never seen a freakin league like the NBA live and die so much by the "P" word.
The kid is good, but he needs time to develop and if I'm an NBA GM, I don't want to have to pay his ass to develop. He's not even remotely near NBA ready and it would take him to the end of his first contract to be ready and at that point, it's a crapshoot of whether you keep the kid or not. A waste of money, rather than an investment IMO.

was he even the 6th man for UNC this year? i ask seriously... I don't know much about this kid.. and I agree with toph... how many times do the NBA people have to be wrong about potential vs. productivity... they don't get it right very often.... Greg Oden vs. Kevin Durant... I rest my case...
