The guy who had a serious problem off the field (anxiety) has overcome it, and done very well for the surprising Royals this year. He started the season going 24 innings without giving up a run (when added to last year it stretched to 38 innings). Tonight he threw a complete game and gave up 1 unearned run. A heck of an outing by the young man who has outstanding stuff. Too bad he got buried deep in the sports news thanks to Sox-Yanks...

He's just pitching out of his mind. Quite honestly, because of where I live, there are Royals fans who are going on and on. As much as I like the story behind Greinke, I've heard it enough.

Greinke's always had great stuff and was a big time prospect. I'm glad to see he's overcome his issues and realized how blessed he is. God I love seeing the Royals win!

The kid's got some filthy stuff. GBR, Where I live, I've heard entirely too much of the Yanks/Saux!! I'd rather here about the Royals.

FWIW, I had a conversation the other day about the best college football team of the last 20 years and I defended your '95 team. I threw up in my mouth a little.

Thanks. Let me guess, the other guy was arguing for the 2001 Miami team.

Geienke's ERA have gone all the way up to .50...what a slacker!
The kid has great stuff, and has done incredibly well. He moved his record to 5-0 by the way.

The kid is straight filthy. I'd love to see him keep the Royals in contention this year and keep it interesting.

Well Grienke lost last night. Lost 1-0 to the Angels.
Grienke's ERA rose all the way to 0.51 after going 8 innings and giving up 1 run.

I believe that I told some of you guys that the Royals could win the central. Many of you laughed about that. I know it is still early, but looking good soo far.

Let's not forget about this kid...
He is now 8-1 with 5 CGs. His ERA has jumped all the way up to 0.84. Through 12 starts he is the first pitcher since 1966 to have a sub 1 ERA.
If he was playing in NY or Boston they would have already crowned his ass...

The pitcher who previously had an ERA under 1 after 10 starts was Juan Marachial (he was the most recent at least). In 1966 his ERA after 10 starts was 0.59. Of course that is before they lowered the mound in 1969... Another interesting tidbit on Grienke....103 consecutive innings without giving up a homer.
