I say you can't pinpoint one certain thing or institution to blame....This kind of thing, along w/ the Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, and Chris Henry situations, shows how powerful money is in the U.S . You can have many faults and they will pushed to the side if you have the god given athletic ability that will enable others as well as yourself to make money. If I did similar stuff that these guys did, I'd be in jail and no company would offer me a position, but they get second, third, and even tenth chances to shape up b/c they can make their league and their owners a lot of money.

I don't care about those 2 anymore...I've made my stance on those 2 knuckleheads blatantly clear. They should both do jail time and should never get the opportunity to play professional football again.

Noel's only problem was getting the score on his SAT to get him into college. Yes, he has 2 kids, but that doesn't mean he's a felon or a young man w/ any problems. I'm sure he was treating like a God and thought (like a lot of high school stars) that he could do whatever he wanted....but he has no arrests on his record....
There have been a few articles about him recently that have actually praised the kind of person he is...he's quiet and shy...that's the opposite of Pacman.

I have no problem w/ that comment. I really like what soccerchica has brought to the board... she seems to have a good head on her shoulder (even though she went to the other USC).. It just seems that b/c we have had 2 idiots (Henry and Pacman) making headlines for terrible reasons, that everyone thinks we have a bunch of thugs running around outta control in Morgantown.

I voted Virginia Tech they held him in such high regard made him feel as if he were untouchable and could do whatever he wanted because he put the University on the map as far as athletics go.
I wonder if VT will un-retire his #7 jersey.
