Tattoos Tattoos are reverse time machines: with time travel you can send a warning back to your younger self, with tattoos you send a mistake forward to your older self. Just The FactsTattoos theoretically could be thoughtful additions to your appearance. Unfortunately there are thousands of tattoo parlors (many open 24 hours) and people just don't have that many thoughts. So most are stupid. Tattoos are permanent. Your motivation/blood-alcohol level is not. Tattoos are now as edgy as a padded watermelon. Who gets tattoos? Tattoos are an excellent way to turn a single drunken decision into a lifetime of disfigurement and regret, which normally requires a car. Tattoos are associated with criminal gangs, the armed forces, and whiny white teenagers desperate for attention. Attempts to get all three to attend a common "Tattoo Conference" have unfortunately failed. What Your Tattoo Says About You Before you get a tattoo There are some important questions to ask before getting a tattoo: - Have I wanted this for more than five minutes?
- Am I, at this particular instant in sidereal time, drunk off my face?
- Do the tattoo artist's past works resemble an art class for crash-helmet testers?
- I meet the love of my life. I romance them for months, reaching a point where we can communicate our very deepest emotions and feel that we almost share souls (awwww). At this point, can I see myself naked and explaining this tattoo?

I've never been able to think of something clever enough that I'd want for a lifetime.

I have multiple tattoos and took into account work when getting them, so I think they are placed well not to effect my work.

I got 4, but combined them, so it looks like I have 2. One fairly good sized one on my back (no wings or dragons), and one on my right upper arm that was designed so I could expand it to cover my shoulder and such.
Like TNS, both have a meaning about some serious time in my life, so I don't regret getting them.
I also plan on getting one more when my 3rd child is born. Something to commemorate the 3 of them. Not sure what yet....

7 in the socially acceptable area all easily covered with a regular t-shirt.
Star of David w/ Sisters of Mercy head in the center
French Cross
Las Vegas Hardcore w/ Social D Skeleton (The Las Vegas punk rock scene came with a price)
My twin daughters names written in Arabic w/ an Arabic symbol for Angels
Never felt like a mistake. I rarely pay attention to them anymore but when I do they take me right back to the point in my life when I got them.

Got my only one in December in honor of my son. It's on the back of my right lower leg. Been wanting one for a long time. But glad I waited, because this one is more meaningful than anything I would have gotten years ago.
The little chart, was lacking areas of the body what's up with that?!?

I like that tattoo, maestro. It is very classy. For some reason, I would have thought you would have had some letters on your leg or something like that.
