D-Wade is a helluva player (once again) and he definitely deserves to be mentioned on this list. Again I think Wade will make the list, but he too has been in the league for 6 years. He has won a title though. Remember the NBA has been around for like 60 years, so lots of great players were before him and at the end his stats, and accomplishments will probably put him up there. They are probably afraid of his injury history and short track record, cause they don't want to get called on something like this later.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with him getting injured a lot like you said BTB.
It really wouldn't surprise me.

Here is my top 3 1.MJ 2.Oscar Robertson 3.Magic Johnson Oscar is way too high IMO. He only has one title, right? I don't know if I buy this. He played with the Cincinatti Royals for the vast majority of his career. Can you even name another Royal without looking? Then he played with Kareem the final four years of his career, won a title and took the Celtics to 7 games in the finals in his last season. The year after the Bucks went 38-44 even with Kareem. Putting Magic Johnson ahead of him is reasonable, but not the title argument. Magic played with much better teams his entire career. And this isn't even getting into the stats and how Oscar averaged a triple double the first five years of his career. I just don't see how you can discount a player because of his teams performance. His teams were very successful for the talent they had. It's not his fault he didn't get to play with the Celtics or the Lakers.

I would move Shaq down to 8th, behind Kareem. I have seen almost all of these players in person, and Shaq is a shade behind Kareem in my mind. The Big O was a great player, certainly comparable to Magic. I have no real gripe with the majority of these rankings. What is amazing, is that 7 of the top 12 players won titles with the Lakers. The guys that have been in the league 6 years or so, shouldn't be any higher on the list. Five years from now, if Lebron plays as he did the last couple of years, he will move into the top 10.
