They can spend $1.1 million for a guardrail, probably worth every bit of $10,000, in the middle of nowhere that will not reap any return whatsoever. But investing the money in activities that would provide a return, such as golf courses, zoos, aquariums, etc., are banned. It's the prototype U.S. Government program. Spend a trillion dollars, but only if it provides absolutely no potential to help the nation or provide a return on investment. Our taxes at work!

Just like the dance studio over the solar cell factory. Government at work at the local level.

I'm torn on this. Although I think it's a stupid decision to invest in a dance studio and not a solar panel, I like the local government deciding it and not the fed, because the residents of the town have considerable more influence.
That said, this is the exact reason why I mostly have a negative view towards the stimulus package. They shouldn't have this money to make stupid decisions with to begin with. If they want to make bad investments with their own money then so be it, but it's irritating they're getting to do it with ours.

I just love it when you open your mouth and make your self look like even more of a dumb ass than you already are. My article was from the LA times and his was from Boston.com. I took your advice the other day and found something on LA times that I could post. Since every news story in out there is prefabricated besides NY and LA times.

I'm just tired of the BS in our media. Who can you trust and who is credible. Some sources you can smell the BS as soon as they open there mouths, or people automatically write them off as Con, fake, racist or whatever. Know what I'm saying?
