So everyone assumes that LeBron is going to go to the Knicks, but why? Sure he wants to play in a media center, but seriously, would adding LeBron to the Knicks get him (and them) a ring? I don't think so. So why not look to a team in the other media center? A place where being LeBron would just make him another celeb in a town full of them, but where he'd be a media star. What if he went to the Clippers?
Now I know you are all laughing your asses off, but hear me out. Who would you rather have as your front line -Al Thornton, Chris Kaman and Marcus Camby with Blake Griffin waiting to be drafted, or Harrington and whoever else they have? Who would you rather have as your PG? Baron Davis or Chris Duhon?
The only questions are will the Clips pay, and is Staples big enough for the both of them?

Honestly, I'd rather have Chris Duhon, but he won't even be their PG next year. Baron Davis is supremely talented but is a head case, ball hog and very injury prone. He's not a huge draw for Lebron imo.
And the Knicks frontline could be Al Harrinton, David Lee and Chris Bosh. I'd say that's at least equal to the Clips.
Plus no way the Clips pay for him like the Knicks will.

That's if they get Bosh, but can they get Bosh and LeBron? I think LeBron to the Clips is intriguing.

Donald Sterling won't shell out the money necessary to get Lebron and surround him with a decent cast of players.
Honestly, I'm still not convinced that Lebron might not be better served in staying in Cleveland. They would have all the mid level exceptions necessary to keep him with a decent supporting cast and until somebody showed me a real economic impact study of a move to NY, I'm not convinced he's going to ink any more national/international endorsements than he already has. In today's digital age of media and marketing, I don't think the move to NY impacts him all that much more financially. I could be shown to be wrong on that though, but I'm not one that is just going to assume it.

LA Clippers = where careers go to die
but honestly, there are some good points there dpb, I just don't see it...plus, the whole east coast - west coast thing is more fun, and I think that honestly matters
