I am tired of the steroid stories, but a guy with over 600 HRs and was proven to have tested positive I guess we have to talk about it.
It's not a big surprise, and the timing is interesting (after Sosa's comments recently).
The MLB has to stop looking at the past, and really move on, as an entire generation of fans are becoming less fanatic.

was this testing part of the mandatory privacy testing? Yep. Just like A-Rod's was and 102 other names that have yet to be released. I can't understand why people are surprised. I just assumed that he took them. A guy who went from averaging 28 or so homers his first 6 years, to averaging 60 for the next 5 or so years.

I wonder why he didn't use the "Me speaky no Eeenglish!" defense? As a matter of fact, he might be facing some legal issues for lying to Congress in 2005, even though his testimony was through a translator as he somehow forgot how to speak English for a while there.

can he face legal issues for this... that test was under contract that it was going to be private and not used for anything... was this the only test he failed. not sure how that works

Now will they be able to use this test as evidence of his lying? Maybe, maybe not. But if there is one failed test, there is likely witnesses or people who knew it was going on, and possibly another failed test that has yet to be released. Guess I am going with the where there is smoke fire is often found, and lying to Congress under oath, is not something that is recommended (in English or Spanish).
