I have spent the day here driving all over south GA from junkyard to junkyard. I need an exhaust manifold, back for my 86 cutlass ciera brougham holiday edition. It has silver valve covers, yes that makes a difference. Also the EGR valve mounts on the top of the manifold. Motor is a 2.8 MPFI. I can not find one and two people told me today it is going to be difficult to find, because that is a limited motor, not alot to begin with. SO, I ask ALL of you to ask around and if you know of a junkyard see if they have one. I need this damn thing, cause my niece took the car to her high school and they fucked it up. Still pisses me off!!!! I would greatly appreciate your help.

There are two local junk yards in the city of Alma.
I will see what I can do. I will check them out tomorrow, because I don't have any plans. If I have to I will take a road trip to Perrinton (about a 20 minute drive) and stop by there junk yard.

thanks michfan, I appreciate that.
dawgy, I had a thread over a month ago about this whole incident. It was my niece who begged me to let her fix it. I let her, and now I am paying for it.

Try eBay. You will be surprised to see what you can find, for sure.

Try eBay. You will be surprised to see what you can find, for sure. Yeah, I know a guy who's entire business revolves around stripping salvage cars and parting them out on ebay.

Later today im taking a trip to Perrinton so, I will take a gander at the junk yard they have there. Another option is going to Mt. Pleasant, but im not so sure were there junk yards are located.
Sorry man.

Cannot imagine help like this from the CBS Board. I can't be much help dawgs, but looks like lots of folks have good ideas. This is what makes this place special.

true BD, it is a great thing about being here. Even the serious personal questions that we ask each other get helpful responses. Over there it would be one smart ass answer after the other. If someone on here does manage to find the part I need, I would be eternally grateful.

If that is that rare 2.8 turbo engine..good luck. I cannot rememebr if the Cutlass had it, I think it did and GM did make a limited production model. Little known factiod...yes the WHO was in the Auto Parts business for 8 year sin a previus life and I can even change my own oil.

Is there a chance you could take the manifold to a machine shop and get them to fabricate some type of repair on the one you have? Most machinist can weld and grind to get it back to a functional state. It might be your only way to get the car back on the road

I was told it can not be fixed properly because of the holes they drilled down beside the bolts they broke off in it. If they had left it alone after they broke the bolts then yes a friend who has a machine shop said he could have taken it off the car and fixed it, easily. My cousin said if I cant find one then he will try and make the best repair possible. he has been in this business for over 40 years so I trust him.

I ordered a manifold today from a place on Ohio. THANK YOU to all who responded and helped out. The guy described the manifold to me and it sounded correct, says I have 30 days to return it if it is wrong, but he is confident it is right. THANK YOU LORD!!!!!!!!

Yes sir it was you bilogle. Thank you sir. I used the others as well, but the guy I ended up buying it from was from your search suggestion. I got about 20 hits, and talked to several of the people, but this guy today was the first one who actually went to verify he had the right part.
