not sure you can say that a call on balls and strikes can be "one of the worst calls ever" as every game you will have balls called strikes and vice versa... regardless, it was a bad call, but nothing out of the ordinary.
as for the hr... that works against the sox as much as it does for them... especially since Trot in gone.

Blown balls and strikes are ordinary. A pitch straight down the middle called a ball, well..

not only that, but he wasn't even close to where the catcher is set up and unfortunately, the umpires do use that because they can get lazy sometimes. its only part of the game and I am sure that getting ball and strike calls evens its self out, even for the Braves.
