So as you all know the Allstar game is in St. Louis this year. My question is how much would you spend on a ticket for either the game or the Homerun Derby?

Depends on where the seat is I guess, but I'd probably spend a little more than an ordinary regular season game.

I'm willing to guess that the tickets in STL will be a joke with the love of baseball in that city. I remember how tough it was to get tickets when they had in Miller Park back when people in the state didn't give a shit about baseball. I'd probably pay close to 60 or so bucks since I would never forget about it. All though the seats would be pretty shitty.
Are they having the Fan Fest in STL?? I would try to go to that as well, a lot cheaper, and you can free autographs from pretty good old time players, definantly one of the better things during the All Star game in Milwaukee.

I agree with BB. I went to the FanFest at the 2002 All Star Game in Milwaukee. Those tickets are less expensive. I do think that the game and HR Derby tickets will be fairly pricey though.

Just said on the other thread one of my fondest baseball memories happened at that FanFest in 2002. Got the autograph of Buck O'Neil (the famous Negro League Player) and listened to him talk baseball for at least a half an hour (and many people just walked by him, or ignored him).
Listening to him talk about baseball inspired me to go to the Negro League Museum in KC and it was outstanding, highly recommended if you can get to KC. Pick up some Arthur Bryants BBQ (just down the road from the Museum) while you are there.

They are having Fan Fest here. Maybe I will check that out. Oh and try multiplying $60 by about 4 and that is about the price for the HR Derby

Why were you in Milwaukee? I got to meet Robin Roberts at the Fan Fest though, that was pretty awesome. I didn't really understand what a great player he was though at the time I met him though. Never knew though that Buck O'Neill was at the Fan Fest, he should already be in the Baseball Hall of Fame by now though.

I remember the Brewers tickets being like from 60-800 dollars in prices. Geez, I knew that STL loved baseball, but I didn't know it was that bad. I definantly recommend going to the Fan Fest, it's pretty interesting, and fun for sure.

That town was on OTL this morning by the way. It was a 16 U tournament and we were all 14 years old. We came in 4th place though! After the tournament we drove to Milwaukee to go to the Fan Fest and it was outstanding. Buck O'Neil was inducted into the HOF. Too bad they did it too late. As I mentioned in the other thread Buck gave the speech for the Negro League players who were not alive, and he was not on the list. He was inducted posthumously, and Cooperstown made a HUGE mistake in that regard IMO. Just a few people were gathered around him and listening to him...incredible person.

It must've slipped my mind. Thankfully, they had that before the Brewers became good, and had people start following them again or else the place would've been a joke with the amount of people there. I'm sure the one in St. Louis will be really packed.

You are right BB. I don't remember a lot of Brewers fans, but I remember a lot of fans trying to buy the Old Brewers Hats and Jersey because they were going to be worth something (kinda hard to find at the time).
St. Louis is an outstanding baseball city, and all the events should be great.

The St. Louis Cardinals Museum is pretty nice as well. When I went to it, they had the museum right next to the Bowling Museum.

I googled Buck O'Neill and Hall of Fame and all I could find is Buck O'Neill statue that was put into the HOF.

I must confess I would rather see a regular season game that had some meaning.....
I think they have overdone the whole all-star thing.
