According to the Associated Press, Adrian Beltre was put on the 15-day disabled list with a severely bruised testicle Thursday, one day after taking a hard one-hopper off the bat of Chicago’s Alexei Ramirez to his groin area in the ninth inning.
Ouch!
Beltre was hit so hard that surgery may be an option. According to the report, Beltre was “walking stiffly with his legs far apart on Thursday.”
I am going to venture to say Beltre’s legs might be the only stiff part on his body for a very, very, very long time.
The reason this happened is because Beltre doesn’t wear a protective cup when playing. He says it’s “uncomfortable.”

I hope that he gets better, as that sounds really really painful. However, I cannot understand why he wouldn't wear a cup? The guys hit the ball to the 'hot corner' at over 100 MPH a lot of times...

I believe the reason he doesn't wear one is it restricted his movement a little. So he gambled a bit in that regard, and lost.

I understand where he's coming from, I didn't wear one either when I played Little League, sadly I had the same fate as he did a few times, and it's sucks.

What hurt more BB your Little League experience or watching the Brewers play this season ;D. BTW I would never not wear a cup

If you saw my preseason expecations, I thought the Brewers were a .500 team this season.

I'm so glad that I didn't get hit there in my short playing career, I never did wear a cup either.

well... before opening this, I thought it was going to be about my beloved Sox as I think they all feel like Beltre at this moment.
seriously though, I think he will probably change his mind about not wearing a cup from now on... but wow, that's gotta smart.

I never wore a cup playing football because I hated the way it felt when I ran. So I get it.
He'd better be careful. You can lose a nut on these kinda things.
