LSU just punted on their 1st possession of the second half. Anybody still want to kill Boise for not winning by enough @la Tech last week?

It's kind of funny. As I was sitting at dinner with my wife and watching the games with the score scrolling across the bottom, I was wondering the same thing.

24-16 LSU Good solid win for LSU. Not saying you did b/c I don't know if you did or not, but weren't those on here that killed Bosie for a close win at LT last week?

People also said when Auburn beat them it didn't mean anything for us. What's the point?

People also said when Auburn beat them it didn't mean anything for us. What's the point? That people will give LSU credit for this win, but not Bosie. Besides, Auburn stinks anyways. Didn't you get the memo?

People won't give LSU credit for this win. Not more than they've done already. They've lost to the BCS 1 and 2 so that means they're good (logic that's going around).
LSU winning this game means pretty much nada. Just like Boise. Just like Auburn.

That was tongue in cheek. I don't post on here much because I can't access the site from work anymore, but I've been on the Boise side the whole season. People give them so much sh*t for any perceived poor performance and ignore their good performances, while doing the exact opposite for BCS teams. It's sickening.

Recent history shows that the loser of the Bama/LSU game goes on to struggle. Bama lose to ULL in 2007, LSU needs a miracle comeback to beat Troy in 2008. LSU, playing a new TB and QB struggle beating LA Tech.
I wasn't expecting a pretty game from LSU, just glad they won. I'm with Ray on this too, the game means nothing for Boise State and means nothing for LSU. They both won, big deal. BTW, who did Boise State play the week before playing La Tech?

All I know, is that Boise took Oregon to the Woodshed big time this year. That is all I need to know.
Boise finishes unbeaten two things need to happen. The absolutely need to go to a BCS bowl. And don't anyone give us the travel bullshit. They travel very well.
Second, whoever plays them, better be ready to buckle it up or they are going to get their fannies kicked.

I think that is the big point with Boise States schedule, LSU played a tough physical game the week before and lost both their starting QB and Running back, it happens when you play physical teams, it also happens when you play cupcakes, just not as much.

LSU played at home. Boise played half way across the country.
We can find all sorts of excuses for any argument. Bottom line is that for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS COLLEGE FOOTBALL, you CANNOT compare scores with college football teams. It simply DOES NOT WORK.

It was just a setup. Good grief. Dooley asked Miles to make him look good cause he wants to impress all the Hoos in Hooville. Probably even offered him a good chunk of change. I dont mind Les tossin some pity to the little guys.

I just want things to be unilateral. If Boise State wants to be a big boy then they get mad credit for whipping Oregon. But when it comes to La Tech I know Auburn got crap for playing them. Which means LSU should too. Same with Boise State.
Now, if La Tech is a mid major and it's now proper to schedule and 'respect' them, fine. LSU gets credit for playing a potential upset team from the WAC and Boise State does too.

I was one of the ones saying the 10 point win over LT was a net loss for Boise. Now I am split of mind. Still don't think LT is good, so I am once again back to asking "who has LSU BEATEN?" They have only lost to two of the top 3 teams, but who have they beaten. Maybe LSU really isn't a top 10 team. And maybe I am just a hater and Boise really is top 10 and need to stop hating on them. But then again, who have they beaten, they can at least claim Oregon, but then the rest of their schedule is hugely underwhelming...

This is the underlying problem with Boise. I'm also not impressed with their timely public wolf cry and subsequent retraction about BCS teams not wanting to schedule them. Until Boise plays a big boy schedule, I'm really not interested in hearing about them. Period.
I was big on Utah last year but they played a better schedule than this year's Boise. Same with TCU this year. It's not about mid major hate. It's about Boise's putrid schedule.

Is their schedule putrid because of the conference they play in? (I ask this earnestly. No agenda.)

Is their schedule putrid because of the conference they play in? (I ask this earnestly. No agenda.) I'm sure that doesn't help. I mean if you consider La Tech a potential upset team, which some did preseason, then basically after the Oregon game Boise had 7 chumps on the schedule between test games. I'm sorry but that is just unacceptable.

Miami (OH), Bowling Green, UC Davis, and Tulsa are all OOC games for Boise in that stretch.

It speaks volumes when you can look at someones schedule and realistically say that if they get by so and so (1 team only) then they have a very good shot at going undefeateed.

It is also becoming very clear that Boise has tried to upgrade schedules and almost no one even picks up the phone. And unlike several years ago when they wanted home and home, now they are just asking to play anyone anywhere.
I think the only thing that will help Boise in this situation if they could somehow get into the MWC. I know there is a bitter history between teams in the MWC and WAC, but until Boise, Fresno, Hawaii and Nevada get into a better conference, they are going to continue to have a problem getting recognition.
BTW, based on what Nevada just did to Fresno and the fact that they have won 7 in a row, Boise might not ought to count that undefeated season in the bag quite yet.

Why in the hell shouldn't Boise get AT LEAST $1M?? Bama and Georgia are paying shit teams to come to their home stadiums for $1M. Hell, pathetic North Texas is coming to Athens in a couple of years for $950K. I would much rather play Boise for that price than this crap game.
We are all now paying highschool teams...AKO FCS....to come and get slaughtered and they are getting $500K.
I have no problem with Boise asking for that amount. And teams that are not afraid, should have no issue about paying it.
