Werth, Harper and Zimmerman go 1, 2, 3 in the 10th to Craig Kimbrel and the Braves roar back from 0-4 to tie it in the 9th and win it on Pena's pinch hit 2 run homer in the 10th at Nationals Park in the first game of the season between the two NL East rivals. Win is the 7th straight for Atlanta, who are an MLB best 9-1 on the season.

Braves are playing out of their minds right now. A damn impressive start.

The amazing story of Evan Gaddis continues. He hammers a 97mph high fastball from Strassburg into the leftfield seats and a 2 run lead. Homerun #4 for this 26 year old rookie.

And it holds up. Hudson, O'Flaherty and Kimbrell shut down the Nats as Braves take 8th straight 3-1.

I guess the Braves sent a message. It is early. Washington will still be the favorite and there is a long, LONG way to go. But beating their big 3 and giving up 1 run after the first two innings on Friday is a nice way to sweep the weekend series.
