Mainly because Black and Orange would be more appropriate on 31 October I guess. Actually, as much as I am old fashioned and prefer traditional uniforms, this notion about black uniforms being bad has gone a bit overboard. It is not like Georgia has performed badly in black. They are 6-1 in that uniform, including a huge win over Auburn and two New Years Six bowl wins. Of course everyone remembers that Alabama game, but Georgia could have worn purple and gold and it would not have mattered that night. So, I guess we should be prepared for a Justin Bieber type dance off in the end zone after UGA scores first. Nah, hope they save that till the last.

Exactly, that! Just read the take on the Georgia Rivals Page and thought I would share that such a take is out there. If it were much more substantial than rumor, I would have put more into and emphasis on such a declaration. Go Dawgs! GATA!!

I've heard conflicting reports with Mike Farrell saying he's with the team to Rusty Mansell saying he's not.

Not just rumors about UGA...from another board:
Rumor going around that Clemson DT Tyler Davis has covid, and he may not be the only one...rumors about Justyn Ross going around his home town of Phoenix City, AL that he has a broken foot.

I hear Robert "Bobby" Boucher Jr is coming out of retirement and instead of playing for the Muddogs - he is going to play for the orange Tigers. Look out Dawgs.

Bad news for UGA. Rumor has it from Clempson insiders that the back-ups are always much better than the 'starter(s)' so I expect them to be even better than the best team evah.

These are both factual from what I’ve been told. Davis I have pretty much confirmed. Ross info has not been confirmed

Ron Courson tested positive for Covid. Now how many of Georgia's players to you think Courson has contact with every day? I think I would rather have had a coach test positive than Ron.

This is so Georgia. Absolutely so Georgia.
ATHENS -- Georgia has a potentially big problem heading into Saturday’s game against Clemson.
Ron Courson, the Bulldogs’ director of sports medicine, has been diagnosed with COVID-19, a person with knowledge of the situation has confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Courson tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The news was shared with the football staff on Wednesday and Courson was not in attendance at Wednesday’s practice.
UGA policy prevents officials from making any comments about an employee’s medical status.
At the least, this means Georgia’s medical chief of staff won’t be in Charlotte for Saturday night’s matchup against No. 3 Clemson in the Duke’s Mayo Classic. More concerning, however, is the fact that Courson’s role in the athletic department puts him in physical contact with virtually every member of the football team, especially those that are injured.
As of this week, no Georgia players have been reported to have COVID. However, contact-tracing could be a problem.
Last week, coach Kirby Smart said that more than 90% of his team has been vaccinated. However, as has been increasingly proven of late, vaccinated individuals can still catch the virus, especially the new Delta variant that is making its rounds in America.
Meanwhile, the SEC has retooled its policies and procedures in light of the vaccination. Fully vaccinated individuals who are asymptomatic are not required to quarantine after an exposure to someone infected with the virus. However, unvaccinated athletes and staff are still subject to quarantine requirements. It is, of course, not known what members of Georgia’s team are still not vaccinated.
Courson, who has served as Georgia’s director of sports medicine since 1995, is a member of the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance task force. That group has been lauded for helping the SEC navigate its way through the coronavirus pandemic to get in a football season last year. At Georgia, he has been at the forefront of combating the virus and personally established most of the protocols the athletic department has used to safeguard its athletes through the pandemic.
But in that role, Courson is the one person in Georgia’s football complex who has contact up and down the chain. He oversees all of the Bulldogs’ injury rehabilitations and oversees all of the in-house COVID-19 testing.
Positive COVID-19 test results are up significantly on Georgia’s campus. UGA’s “Dawg Check” webpage, which monitors weekly testing activity and results, reported 457 over the last week, ending Sunday. That’s nearly twice as many as the previous week, where there were 231.

If a player is unvaxed but came in contact with Courson, are they automatically quarantined and out of the game or can they test negative and play?

Honestly, I don't know. Supposedly 90% vax rate if they have not been bullshitting us. Again this is the most Georgia thing ever. The University has a covid rate that is going through the roof. The state, will all our unvaxed geniuses is one of the worst in the country. You know Courson was vaccinated so he is clearly a breakthrough and he will be fine. But what a mess.

OK, vaccinated players who came into contact and who do not display any symptoms do not need to test. Unvaccinated players who came into contact are required to test. Georgia has reported 90% vaxed. No idea who is not vaxed.

That sounds like it won't be too bad as long as the unvaxed test negative.

But what if they don't? And it also depends on "who" are not vaccinated.
