Hello BD. I am not a Georgia fan. I don't pout when someone says something about my team. It has been a rough run, but we still have a more current National Championship than UGA. Heck, most of the SEC does.

I am happy that you don't pout. I was actually saying something about Vanderbilt.

I am happy that you don't pout. I was actually saying something about Vanderbilt. Or how bad the SEC East has been of late.

If you are thinking of Florida, I can think of a couple of years ago when a coach was fired for not winning. Come to think of it, that would be two in the last decade. Georgia has been consistent, but looking at the teams in the East, how good were they?

UGA vs UF for the same period (10 years)
UGA leads the series 6-4 UGA leads points score 227-223 UGA has 10 seasons with a bowl appearance and UF has 8
It really comes down to UF had 2 bad seasons.

Only 6 wins are needed for bowel eligibility. Not a great measure of success. They have been better than average in the SEC East, but not the Florida of Meyer or Spurrier. Mullen has them trending in the right direction, but the last decade overall has fallen short of what has been normal since Spurrier.

I don't think I need to post any more stats to back that up.

Florida has been up and down the last 10 years and UGA has been pretty flat. The last few years of Richt being in Athens were not so good and he struggles against the Gators. The Gators had 2 4-8 seasons, and only winning 4 games is absolute shit for a team like UF. Kind of crazy.

Hard to imagine teams like Texas & Florida should ever go through 'downs' like they have.
