Just FYI: They make airline pilots retire at 65 no exceptions. Airline pilot is a hard, highly responsible job that requires constant testing and physical standards that few could achieve at much younger ages. Even numbskulls like Tommy Tuberville and Ron Johnson can be Senators. Feinstein upheld a higher standard than most, but she worked past her physical abilities. RIP.

Dianne Feinstein will not seek re-election in 2024….but she will still vote.

Just FYI: They make airline pilots retire at 65 no exceptions. Not completely true. I think it has to do with passenger capacity on the plane. JSX flies 30 passengers in a jet built for 50 and their pilots aren't age restricted. JSX is partly owned by JetBlue and Qatar's airline, and partners with United. I've read that other airlines are considering this. The passengers don't go through TSA, but are background checked and board where private jets come in.

Right now the major airlines restrict over 65, I think it has more to do with the FAA than a individual airline. I was just making a point that there are situations where age should be limited. You see news clips all the time of our leaders without a clue where they are or what they are supposed to be doing, it's embarrassing having foreign news making a joke of our "leaders" blank stares and gibberish when they talk. I don't know what is going to happen next year, but I'm concerned it might be civil unrest like not seen over 150 years. Edit to add: I have this on the subject, they are trying to increase the age to 67 currently to keep the shortage of piolet's in check. "What is the maximum age for pilots in the FAA? In the U.S., there are no FAA age limits for pilots except for commercial airline pilots employed by airlines certificated under 14 CFR Part 121. These airlines cannot employ pilots after they reach the age of 65. However, these pilots may stay on with a Part 121 carrier in some other role, such as flight engineer."

Oh holy moly, there was a congresswoman from Connecticut I saw pictured the other day that looked over 100 years old. She looked like a fictional character out of some Harry Potter flick. A good point regarding the benefit of a age limit is that if one were in place we would have better options to vote for than Biden and Trump.
