Not looking to turn this political or anything, but curious to who the most influential First Ladies were of your lifetime. I don’t really remember the Carters in the White House, so I would say the top 3 of my lifetime were, and I’ll say easily, in order of lowest to most: Michelle Obama, Nancy Reagan and obviously, Hillary Clinton. Not saying you agreed with their influence, but feel that they all took advantage of being in the White House to enact change.

RIP Mrs. Carter... unfortunately, I fear that Jimmy might not last much longer without her I said the same thing to my husband Sunday. They were very close, and this will be traumatic for Jimmy Carter. She was a dignified, generous, and hard-working lady. I met Ms. Lillian during Carter's gubernatorial campaign, and his cousin "Sonny" Carter on a train trip between Charlottesville and Atlanta, but I never met either of the First Family. American has certainly lost an icon. Rest in Peace, Mrs. Carter.

The will to live goes with their spouse and with those with a Christian faith they want to join them in the afterlife.
