In the Pickem's Geaux Tigers set up for bowl games - Vegas has Georgia giving 13.5 in the early line.
Dang those gamblers must know something.

But I did take the 10 points and Washington in the pickem's that week.

And I know that Vegas posts a line and will more the line if too much money goes one way. They are out to make money. I do know that.

Georgia favored by 14.5 now. How is that possible when so many people think FSU is better?

I would assume that Vegas is thinking at this moment, everyone is playing. We just started the transfer portal and know right off the bat UGA's second string QB is gone. Each team could lose more to the portal and they could lose opt outs. Have no idea how you can legitimately expect any line to be valid 4 weeks out.

A couple of years ago, LSU played K State in the Bowl game with a WR at QB.

What is bullshit is that the committee kept FSU at 4 even after Travis Jordan went down. After winning 2 games without Travis and the season is over, then they suddenly decide that FSU is no longer worthy of the #4 ranking. Clearly the committee was hedging their bet on different outcomes this Saturday which never happened. It put them in a box and they do what they want to do. Reward the 8th teams with beating the #6 teams, jumping them 4 spots over 1 loss tOSU and Undefeated and ACC Champ FSU. This is the one that gets me… nothing new with FSU in the last few weeks.

Various Coaches have commented on this decision:
Kirby Smart, Georgia "I empathize with anybody that goes undefeated and doesn't get in. I know firsthand how hard it is to have an undefeated season. It is hard. It's hard to win games in any conference. It's hard to win games repeatedly. He had a perfect season and won every game. That's really hard to do. I have so much respect for Mike, his staff and the job he's done there. To watch what he's done with that Florida State program is just incredible."
Lincoln Riley, USC "I don't know that I've had the pure heartbreak Florida State had. You hate it for them. That's why we're changing the playoff. If you win all your games, you should be in the playoff. There's nothing more that you can do from a winning standpoint. It's a really tough decision for the committee. It's a really tough decision for how you value some of these different teams. It's an impossible situation. I didn't like it for the game. If you win all yours, you should be in it. Once we expand, that's probably not going to be an issue anymore."
Coach Prime, Colorado "No way that you're going to leave coach (Nick) Saban and Alabama out of a playoff, and Georgia. You're not going to leave Georgia and Alabama out. It ain't no playoff if you do that. I don't know how I would have handled that. (Mike) Norvell did a wonderful job articulating himself and speaking his truth. The players supported him as well. That's a tough one. I would have loved to be in that situation. Unfortunately, we're not, but we plan on being in that situation. They're going to always go with the business. People think it's just football, man. You got to understand this is a business as well."
Kalen DeBoer, Washington "It would be extremely hard to be in that spot. Next year it changes, but it's still tough because of the timing of how things happen with injuries. Credit our staff and support to help us get through those similar storms in the middle of the season to be as healthy as we've been in a while. Absolutely . The things you can't control are injuries. I watched them last night; they are a very good football team."
Brian Kelly, LSU "This is probably the most difficult decision the committee was confronted with. We knew that there were five conferences and only four spots. We played Florida State, and we played Alabama. Two outstanding football teams. But the two teams were different at the end of the season than they were at the start of the season. From my perspective, Florida State is unfortunately not the same team that they were earlier in the year because of the injury at quarterback. I can see where they came from with the decision they made."
Nick Saban, Alabama "This is just one of those years where — and there have been other years like this — where somebody that may have been deserving got left out. Florida State, certainly, going undefeated; they did everything they could to get into the playoff, and unfortunately, probably because of the injury to their quarterback, are not going to have that opportunity. We won 10 or 11 games in a row and beat the No. 1 team in the country. We're not the same team that we were when we played Texas earlier in the season."
Mark Stoops, Kentucky "You have to feel for FSU. It's a tough situation, just the way it fell. Those are some good teams, and I'm not sure there's a real clean answer for that. I certainly don't have it because I haven't had time to look into it like that. I know those are some good teams. Look at the top 5-7. Heck, who would argue if Georgia got in? They haven't lost in three years; they're a pretty darn good team. I don't think there are a whole lot of teams in the country that would like to play them. Pretty damn good."
