Could get very messy and interesting in the next couple weeks. Beck has not given any indication on whether he plans to return or head to the NFL. QB2 Brock Vandagriff already left for Kentucky. Now Dylan Raiola is wavering and visiting Nebraska this weekend (his dad played there and his uncle currently coaches there). Could leave Gunner Stockton as QB1 with incoming 4* freshman Ryan Puglisi as the only other scholarship QB. Or they could return a potential Heisman candidate backed up by a 5* and 2-4* QB's.

Kind of feels like the drama of signing days of old.

Exciting stuff coming out of Nebraska. Rumors are swirling about Raiola and McCord. We'll see if those come to fruition, but it's gotten people talking at least

Also heard rumors that Riley Leonard may be interested if Beck leaves Committed to ND today, looks more and more like Beck will be back as he's practicing with the team today.

If Beck stays he has a shot to be QB1 in the draft next year. Win for him and Georgia if he stays.

This exactly why I am not that into recruiting. Puglisi looks like the real deal. I liked his response when everyone thought he would change his committment. He was not intimidated by the Raila commit. Nothing is done til they sign and even that doesn't mean much these days.

It makes it hard to follow when you have no idea whether they will actually play for the recruiting school beyond their freshman year.

I am not as concerned about Raiola going elsewhere as I am about only having 2 QBs on scholarship. As long as Beck stays it's not an issue.

Puglisi is ready to start practice. I am not sure how good he is going to be because not sure about the football in Connecticut. But I am impressed with his attitude ever since Raiola initially committed.

Beck returning to Georgia. Selfish of me, but right move. He had really good year, but think he would have been 3d round pick at best. If he does well next year, with that brutal schedule, it should really help him. That being said, he is lights out better than the crap the Atlanta Falcons have a quarterback at this moment.
I suspect Dylan Raiola knew this or expected it. He wants to start right away and he might be able to do that at his dad's alma mater. I am perfectly happy with Ryan Puglisi coming in to back up Gunner and Beck.

I hope Raiola is great and wish him nothing but success. This is good for Nebraska. Some writers are going a bit overboard with claims that this is great for college football because a 5 star is going to revive a once great program instead of joining a death star like Georgia. Ari Wasserman for the Athletic has written two articles on why it was awful for college football when Raiola committed to UGA and how great it is now that he is going to revive the Huskers. I have no issue with that. My only question would be where was his concern when Raiola committed to Ohio State...probably a bigger death star than Georgia for the past 40 years. I guess I missed that article. Or maybe it was because he covered Ohio State for 10 years as their beat writer.

With all the family ties and such, I completely understand the Raiola flip. I think he can be a huge success for Nebraska and wish him the best. There is a pattern of not sticking with things but hopefully he settles in there and thrives. I am much more excited about having Beck back and fine with what we know about Puglisi so far. I do agree that some pundits and Nebraska fans are a little overboard on it.

I think you have to understand that in the years since Callahan, recruiting has been an underwhelming thing here. And that's all the talk that has been about Nebraska's decline. They'll never get the talent in that they used to. They can't lean on history. They'll never be good anymore because they don't have the Texas, California, Florida connections. While in the grand scheme of things, yeah, Raiola could be a flop, it's always possible, but seeing Raiola come to Nebraska as such a highly touted player is big for Nebraska because it restores that hope that maybe we can get some of that talent here. And...well...Nebraska is in need of QB talent after the atrocities of last year. Honestly, it felt like that's what Nebraska needed to put the pieces together for a 6, 7, maybe 8 win season. A QB that is capable.
I think the hype is overboard too, but this is a big get for Nebraska while it probably doesn't impact Georgia in what they want to do. I think that's what is bringing all this talk, all this coverage in. We'll see what happens in the months and years to come, but today, this is something to celebrate

Now that these recruits have leverage, you will see more of this. Check out what Ole Miss is doing on the defensive side of the ball via the Portal.
Look what Corch Sanders is doing @ Colorado.
Hi valued recruits flipping from UGA to go to Nebraska is the new norm.

Oh, I agree completely. Looks like the Kansas State Quarterback is transferring to work for Lincoln Riley at USC.
I have zero issue with Raiola flipping nor do I have any issue with Nebraska or its fans. I would absolutely be happy if I were one of them and I don't think it makes any difference for Georgia. And no one pulls harder for the Huskers in the B1G than I do. Awesome history and great fan base.
My one issue is that Ari Wasserman has written two articles about Dylan Raiola. Both were about how College Football had a bad day and then how it had a great day. It was a bad day when Raiola committed to Georgia. It was a great day when he flipped to Nebraska. My only question would be, what kind of day was it for all of college football when he committed to Ohio State? Maybe the 10 year beat writer for the Buckeyes felt different then?

But I've seen a few talking $#!t about Georgia on Facebook as well. Some people just need to calm down a bit.
