Getting an early start today with kickoff starting at 11am today as four Bowl games take front and center. Hope you are dialing up, catching a few moments of these games and are enjoying your week between the craziness of Christmas and the silliness of NYE, all building up for a couch potato day on January 1st where football takes precedent for many, though times have changed. Back on track...today's Bowl game are as follows: (#24)SMU @ Boston College in the "Wassssssssss-abi" Bowl @ 11am Rutgers @ Miami(aka...The U) in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl @ 2:15pm (#18)NC State @ (#25)Kansas State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl @ 5:45pm (#14)Arizona @ (#12)Oklahoma in the Valero Alamo Bowl @ 9:15pm Again, what in the hell with some of these Bowl names? Holy Hell!! Cheers, all, and enjoy today's fare!

6-6 BC taking care of 11-2 Rice. Do not know why I have always liked BC. Perhaps it is the Luke Kuechly tie in, his days in the Panthers and working with him which solidified it. Or, I just see them as a hard nose, blue collar type team, for whatever reasons. Anyway, go Eagles! 🙂

I totally give up. No way I have a clue on what targeting is. If that hit by a Rutgers player on the Miami receiver was not targeting, there has never been one. This rule gets more frustrating every year.

This rule gets more frustrating every year. Ditto - it is a very frustrating rule. To make it fair - maybe there needs to be some software that evaluates the replays and makes the call - that would remove the human factor in making the targeting call. That way every targeting call would be made from a software program. And the call would probably made a lot faster than the humans can make it.

That Miami receiver was not in bounds. That’s the right call. His cheek is out.

One thing about ESPN coverage of all these bowl games has not changed at all. Every single year on the Playoff selection day, Herby and Davis and company practically beg the public to give a crap about the other bowl games and not all the focus on the playoff games. Then, the very same network spends almost the entire half time of all of these bowl games going over one of the two playoff games and ignores the same games that its spokes people lecture us on not ignoring. How much more detailed coverage of those two games can they provide while ignoring the other games, who have more real news with last minute op outs. This is not a "just this year" deal....happens every year. Rinse, Wash, Rinse repeat.

I know Mario Cristobal is a great recruiter. I really wonder about the rest. There was that amazingly stupid play against Georgia Tech at midseason. Now, they have the ball late and somehow have lost the game and still have 2 timeouts in the pocket.

Sure the programming would be written by a human, but if such a program existed - every targeting call would be made by the same program - not individual refs in every game. The targeting call video would be analyzed by the program and the each targeting call would be based on the same parameters. Technical ability may not exist, but it could exist in the future. I have seen technology come a long way in my lifetime.

OU took over the game and has a 24-13 lead late in the 3rd. If Arizona can’t put together a drive soon, it’s gonna be bedtime for me.

It just got interesting - pick six for Arizona and a two point conversion - now 24 to 21 in Sooners favor.

Just got home from a Charlotte film community of friends for a Christmas gathering at the "Tipsy Burro", and, well... I decided to represent the old school and hang with all the "kids", as I lived a half mile away, and well...I see Arizona scored and may be keeping you up for another 30'ish minutes, or so! I'm in to the end!! Cheers, sir!

Arizona has come to play. I thought they came out with a lot of energy, but when they fell behind that might be the end of them. To their credit, they’ve hung in there and are looking good.

Nice win for Arizona. Only one bright side for Oklahoma…they got called for offensive holding 7 times tonight. Once they join the SEC, they’ll never get called for holding in a bowl game again.
I kid, I kid. Don’t kill me, it was all teed up so I had to take a swing.
