Basically a month of solid CFB games. Since I don’t really think any of us really care that much about the physical well being of these kids (because we’ll all watch these games) spare me the concern of some teams playing 16 games.

After the 25 season, they are likely to move games up to 0 week so the end result is not that late in January.

So they will have
5-12 playing at 4 campuses (highest rank home)
is that going to be 5 vs. 12..... 6-11.... 7-10... 8-9?
Then the 1-4 face the winners on new years day/eve.... for 4 games.
then we have 4 play 2 games... and then the NC....
what would the teams ahve been this year? Liberty vs. FSU week 1? i wonder how that would have gone down this year???

FSU would have trounced Liberty because they would not have had the opt outs if they were in a playoff.
But first, the NCAA and College Football has to somehow get the December mess fixed or at least patched. Conference Championship games, early recruiting, the Portal, NFL opt outs and for some teams preparing for bowls/playoffs is more than insane. The portal and NIL are here to stay. Nothing is going to change that. What needs to happen is getting the timing better. Ideally, the portal would start after the championship game, however, most universities are back in school and it would have these transfer guys not getting there in time. I don't have an answer for how that gets fixed. But to me the portal and transfers is a bigger problem than NFL opt outs...because those too, are not going away.

It CAN go away. the NcaA would just need to make all athletes employees and with that is a contract. They then control what they can do and can not per contract. NIL deals can also effect things in the short term with contract agreements on repayment if they move/leave/ or opt out. you are paying for the niL with is only good if they are seen and play. If a booster pays you to play at a school.... and you transfer, the contract can clause effect demand all money back. there are legal ways to make all this work... and its goingt to take that. its come to that sadly.

The NCAA cannot make athletes employees. The universities do that. And much like NIL, there are 50 states with 50 different sets of rules.

It works in the NFL.... and every other professional sport where players are paid.... and the NCAA is now a professional sports league. they are not amateurs anymore. There is a solution. the problem is that privileged programs don't want to do it becuase they are privileged.

There are 32 professional teams organized as such and those teams agree to abide by the rules of said league. There are hundreds of universities in 50 states that all have different rules. Within states, there are different sets of rules. USC, Vandy, Duke etc have different requirements than UCLA, Tennessee and North Carolina. We are talking totally different deals. Just like playoffs and everything else, 30 team professional sports leagues are not even on the same planet with University sports. Nothing about any of this stuff is simple.

How man Walmart’s in the world ? Make them employyes. Make the rules. Or stop college sports all together. Its not impossible.... it just will take change to reset.

You know, why don't you just get your team to go out and win and then maybe you can join the freaking privileged group of folks. Maybe if you would stop whining like a baby about officiating in every game and in every series, you too could become privileged.

We're always looking for new schools to join. You may wanna fib a little bit on your previous football success, though.
