The game we love is fading away. We could list a lot of reasons for this ordeal we are now facing. To me - one of the biggest reasons is the lack of control. As much as most of us have a great dislike for the NCAA - it did provide for some control. It might have been slow, not giving enough punishment and at times seeming unfair.
But wouldn't we like to see them in control of the portal and NIL - two factors that seem to be uncontrol able right now?
So who is going to step in and provide the guidelines and control that is terribly needed right now. Congress - they would probably screw it up more. NCAA - does anyone think they could solve the mess?
Whatever it is - it needs to happen sooner than later.
Any thoughts?

Liberals all across the land agree with CFF that there should be no control. Players should be paid and have the ability to transfer to another team anytime they like. CFF can't be wrong. Can he?

the only legal way to do this now is an "employee" type deal..... or even a 1099 contractractor with non-compete clauses in their service contract.
OR.... and i don't know legal how..
the school need to purchase the NIL exclusive rights from any player wishing to be on the field.
No sign.... no play. its that simple.
they are paid by the school/confrence/ncaa for their nil.... i mean, they already have a copyright on broadcast and images.... it should not be hard to do the same for on field.
IF a athlete wants more or holds out... they don't play.......... they are worth NOTHiNG if they are not playing.... why would anyone pay anything if they were not players?/??
sogn over your NIL or you are not playing.
as for TP..... restrict the time. go for 3 weeks in January..... 3 weeks in june... 6 months apart.... thats it. 2 free transfers to anywhere... thats it. starts the day you sign for a school... if you sign a LOI and then decide no, thats ok, its 1 transfer. IF a coach retires or is fired, the Portal is open for a 1 week after they lave. if a coach leaves on their own maerrit, then the player can transfer and use one of their 2 allotments. If they are out of out, they can ask for a waiver by the NCAA.....the NCAA has 1 week to confirm or deny.
The thing with TP is tiring and not knowing whats going to happen. "3 weeks" in Jan and June make 15 business days. This "i' entering the portal" during the season needs to be cut out. If you want to enter, you can wait till January, or quit. this would all be apart of the 1009 worker agreement or employee deal.
It all has to be done to be fair to players coming in fro HS, players leaving for draft, schools, etc....

You do realize your entire rooting interest this year was almost solely based on benefiting from the portal and NIL, right? Like Jayden Daniels probably doesn’t come to LSU without it. Change happens in every walk of life throughout and every step along the way people bitch about said change because they want others to be beholden to their whims and standards. That said, some guidelines and structure around the portal might not be a bad thing. I have no problem with the concept of the portal or NIL but even I agree frameworks to create a structured way for operation is typically a good thing.

It's not just College Football, for whatever reason, we'll call it "WOKE" because it fits, society is taking a direction detrimental to the Country. Exactly how much damage has been done to the integrity of the USA with the open Southern Border we will never know. How many terrorist cells have infiltrated our homes waiting to kill on orders? We have political extremist on both sides pulling apart the very fabric of society. All this while it seems the world is intent on another war, I pray nature can recover from the mess man will make destroying himself.

When did I ever say no control? You got the wrong guy or the stuff you are smoking for your cancer has your brain clouded.

Question asked...... question answered....... direction on how to fix presented...... ignited and thread continues with asking the question.
No wonder there is no hope to fix anything.
