Kudos. You guys are really getting good at this. Making me homesick in the process. Seems to me I took that ferry from Bingen to Ruedesheim last September, by mistake of course and almost missed our rendezvous. Not sure if you have ever seen it, but despite huge crowds, the Rhine Aflame can be spectacular. One time, we saw Ruedesheim and Bingen compete with each other for the best fireworks display that seemed never to end. And you are spot on with the Rhine Gorge....by far the best part of the river. Great stuff.

Finally - both actors smile in this video. Great job.
Love the description of the German bakeries - there is a German Bakery in New Braunfels, Texas that we use to go to when were in New Braunfels. Great pastry.
Is English spoken in most of the places you visit?

Great pastry. Is English spoken in most of the places you visit? In and around Frankfurt pretty much everybody speaks English. Ditto for pretty much every other city in Western Europe. In some of the smaller towns it is less. As one example, when we went see the Tour de France last summer the owner of the B&B that we stayed at spoke very little English. Between my (extremely) little French and her very little English we managed. In Ethiopia, anyone who had a post-high school education spoke English, because university classes there are taught in English, but that meant many people did not. My barber, for example, spoke zero English. In Turkmenistan, the youth (say, people under 30) spoke at least some English. Anyone over 30 spoke Russian. Of all the places we have been to, that was probably the one with the least amount of English spoken.
