Thought it would be interesting to see everyone's opinions...
West Virginia...I'm buying...I think they'll be better than folks are predicting...I have no serious grounds to back up my claim...just gut feeling. They damn near beat Oklahoma last year...I think they knock off a few big boys...just not Alabama.
Florida...I'm buying again. Injuries and inexperience killed last year...and even with the mother in law ugly schedule, Florida is an 8 win team...IMHO that should be good enough to keep Boom employed. 10 wins is a little wishful...but if this team hits the 10 win mark...they win the East....and the East is wide open.
Clemson...I'm selling...I think they take a step back...
Nebraska...selling...Bo's last year...I don't think his style works in the B1G...this year will be rough for the Huskers.
UCLA...buying...I think they win the PAC 12 this year walking away...
Stanford...selling...Shaw has his hands full...don't think they will be as good as in recent years.
Ohio State...buying...may run the table...definite playoff team.
Michigan....selling...Hoke is not the guy they need...look at the QB spot...very telling as to why they haven't turned the corner to dethrone tOSU.
More to come...who are you buying and selling this season?

More to come...who are you buying and selling this season? For WVU, it will all come down to whether or not Clint Trickett can get the offense going. The defense should actually be okay, I think. On offense, they're deep at running back (not necessarily a huge bonus for a program that advertises an "Air Raid" offense, but a strength nonetheless), and they should be solid at WR. They'll be breaking in three new starters on the OL, so that's a question mark as well, but not nearly as big of a concern as QB. That said, I don't think WVU makes a bowl this year. Despite being a coach's kid, Trickett didn't wow me with his decision-making last year. Maybe he just wasn't comfortable in the offense, or not completely healthy, and maybe he improves, but I'm not optimistic that it will be a drastic enough improvement to get more than 4 wins. Let's hope you're right, and I'm wrong.

Man if my team went 4-8 and lost to Georgia Southern at home I'd hide my face behind a mask too!

A lot of doubt for my Tigers already by everyone. They lost Michael Sam...so unless The Blue Oyster opens up a franchise in Columbia...how do they replace him? YMCA? Hold a tribute to Judy Garland on campus? Seriously...they got the perfect storm to win the East last year...but with Florida and Tennessee being much much better than last year...and Georgia being down a bit...and USCe looking good...I could see them 5th in the East with losses to those 4 mentioned above.

Kinda smug for a team with no secondary and a nobody QB...I got you in a humiliating avatar bet...let's do it...I will spend some serious time finding the most uncomfortable avatar for you....and it won't be the scoreboard in Athens from 1996...

I'm buying FU and fear I will be wearing another avatar for another year. We will see if our lines bond this year. If they work together, we could have a good year. SCe will take a step back, UF is a ?, and UGA lost a ton of talent. Vandy will be back to being Vandy...so we have a chance.

Greek... I consider you a Top Notch guy...come on...you know that. But... in response... I'm buying UL... and selling FSU. Both Programs are my favorites... as I had to choose between the two. But I really am fragglebombed... that even you do not mention UL as THEE TOP PROGRAM. It's like... "I am not clued in to Sports Information". Greek... you are better than this sir. LEE

LEE I'm selling Louisville...buying FSU. No Strong...no Bridgewater...and no lame Big East/CUSA schedule...not that the ACC is that much better...but no more UConn, Cincy, and the like...you get Clemson, FSu, UNC...etc...so with the attritions...sell Louisville.

How many players has Saint Richt kicked off of the program? That is depth...talent. UGA was good last year, but they weren't heads above everyone in the east. I seem to remember someone else going to the championship game. With the record setting QB gone, and the players that were kicked off of the team, UGA is not sprinting to the Georgia Dome. It will be a battle. I don't know yet if Tennessee will be in that battle, but it will be a battle.

Verses a Florida team with a QB who has more turnovers than TD's and is on his 3rd OC, an average stable of RB's, average WR's, an average OL and a defense who lost a lot of talent up the middle and still has a head coach who is constantly out coached and has had to turn over virtually his whole coaching staff during his tenure to keep his job. A humiliating Avatar bet is no problem, I don't have to go back to the 90's for yours, last year provides PLENTY of material.

You can make the argument that just getting the players back who we're lost to injury last year makes this a better club on offense. My personal feeling is the defense will be better with the departure of CTG and his defensive play calling. I feel Pruitt emphasizes tackling more than big hits and a lighter, faster defense for spread offenses. I've never said we're better than SC, probably pretty close, I just don't believe we take a step back or would I sell on this team.

Without depth, you won't recover from injuries in the upcoming season. That has been the problem at Tennessee for the last several years. Hopefully that is ending with the current and future recruiting classes. As for Grantham, he has been successful everywhere else he has been. I agree that it didn't work in Georgia, but am not 100% ready to place all of the blame on him. We shall see how Pruitt works out.

Georgia's defense this offseason: Five players arrested (one of them twice), three players dismissed, two more transfered, one medical DQ.

Getting back a good RB in Marshall and two starting WR's in Marshall and Scott-Wesley would make the offense better. Add those guys to the players who became starters in Bennett and Conley, along with Rumph then we have depth at WR. Injuries happen and injuries actually build depth. I like the offense as it is now but who knows what happens as the season rolls along. Every game I watched for UGA last year the defense struggled with schemes. Players were lost and were making adjustments while the ball wax being snapped. Players admitted toward the end of the season that they struggled with being in the defense that was being changed when the offense lined up. CTG loved big hits and encouraged the secondary to lay the wood. I think fundamentals will be better in terms of tackling.

Georgia's defense this offseason: Five players arrested (one of them twice), three players dismissed, two more transfered, one medical DQ. Yep, the secondary is going to be work in progress the first couple of games. The only redeeming factor for me is the strength at LB and DL. Hopefully we can put some pressure on the new QB for Clemson and Thompson in the first two games. I like a couple of the new DB's, hopefully they can be solid.
