Please show the stats to back up UT having the best WRs in the East. I'll put UGAs up against UTs all day long. lets rehash this after the season. Last years leading WR will be lucky to be in the 2 deep. If you follow recruiting at all and can't admit this, your glasses may be shaded a little too red. Thanks for making my point for me, you have nothing to back up that statement.

I am impartial and I would take Georgia's WR because they have done it when it matters and not just on a practice field. Mitchell (if healthy), Bennett, Scott-Wesley, Conley are a damn solid group of WRs

We will see...not sold on Mason yet but then again Tennessee's QB situation is a dumpster fire so I would probably give the Dawgs an edge there as well

Personally, nmerritt, I believe UGA's D will be getting a whole lot more pressure on the QB, as if rumors are true, and the scheme is simpler, and Pruitt is doing what he claims to be doing, that of having players play to their strengths, it can't help but get better. Our worries were not our D line, or LB positions, so, there is that going for Georgia.
As for Pruitt being a savior? I am certainly not preaching that, that is for sure. I am just liking the fact he is a player and strengths oriented type Coach, not one locked into some f'ed up, too difficult of a scheme that never seemed to translate with the players recruited by UGA, and what he then tried to put on the field. If Pruitt can simply coach up the talent we have in the Secondary, and Georgia certainly has some talent there, that is for sure, and can get the players playing faster and without "guessing" as to what they are supposed to do, UGA might very well make some serious noise.
And, Bradimous, I will put up UGA's skill players against any in the SEC. Soon, we shall see the product on the field and all the speculation shall be dictated.
Love the fact we are talking football, the players and the game, and that hope springs eternal for all. Here is to few injuries, lots of ups, limited "downs", and a damn fine entertaining college football season. Cheers!!!!

Here is to few injuries, lots of ups, limited "downs", and a damn fine entertaining college football season. Cheers!!!! I just wouldn't expect a huge improvement in year 1. I was excited about Venables and you saw that first year defense getting better each and every week but it takes time. By the end of the year last year Clemson's defense was legit minus the long plays from scrimmage department. Hell 4 busted plays by Kearse resulted in 4 OSU touchdowns and if you look at the score the game looked close but Clemson really dominated that Ohio State OL. I just know what coaching staff just left, what roster talent you guys have, what you lost in the secondary, and I know that it won't be an overnight transition but I will say you upgraded for sure. And I agree...Georgias offensive skill positions are loaded. Mason shouldnt have to do much but manage. They will see the possibly the best DL they will see all year in week 1 so it will be interesting to see how they hold up

Curb stomped by Bama in the Georgia Dome? ? Did I miss something in that 32-28 curb stomping??? Think Nicky was thinking curb stomping with 15 seconds left on his own 7 yard line? Marshal Morgan doesn't miss early chip shot and we don't need those last yards.

Several players have been KICKED off the team at the FIRST offense. (i am sure this is true for a lot of programs though)

Lets be real here....
Things have different standards...
You are a "no name kid hoping to break the 3-deep at Texas Tech ranked #42 in the preseason opening against C. Arkansas...... you smoke week, no one knows... ESPN does not care... twitter is silent....
You are "Nick Marshall of the top 5 Auburn team who nearly won the MNCG, who pulled off an amazing play seen a million times on ESPN, you are in the Heisman race already, peope talking NFL, and are playing week one against Divison foe Arkansas on prime time TV.... you moke weed, its all over the world, ESPN talking, Twiter bursting......
Its going to be a big deal when one is slapped on teh wrist, and one is not..... just deal with it... either set an example or...... SET and example.

We also have a better QB throwing to those WR's IMHO. so your QB is better because he is more talented? Show me the stats. How many wins against top 10 teams does he have. Or is it OK to say he is better because he is more talented. Just curious.

He's been in the system for 4 years and doesn't have the pressure on his back due to the RB's he has in the backfield. But don't just take my word for it, ask around and see what others are saying. I'm pretty sure you'll find most everyone would take Hudson Mason over Worley due to the system Mason will be in and having been in that system for 4 years. I guess I can just fall back on the "we can revisit this after the season" argument.

It isn't like we don't have a couple 5* backs in our backfield too. Not comparing our backs though, but they will help take the pressure off Worley.

Again, let's not not forget that I predicting the Vols to go 6-6. I am not delusional about this team.

As an outside obsever it is ok to say your WR group is better because of young recruits who haven't played a game than a group of experienced WR at Georgia. But it is not ok for Georgia fans to think their QB is better and your argument against it is he doesn't have any stats?

North is a very talented receiver with experience. Howard is a quality receiver also. Add to that 12 other wide receivers on the team...and only 2 are true freshmen. Who are the freshmen? If you don't know the name now, I think you will by the end of the season. The quality of players that the Tennessee Vols currently have, are starting to look like the days of old. Still a little way to go, and we are a young team. But not a lot of difference in a 19 y/o and a 20 y/o on the football field.

But his point about the WRs was that our WRs didn't have the stats to back it up... Then he turned around and said his QB, without the stats, was better. If you read through, you will see that I trapped him in exactly what you are saying.

I just said our QB was better than yours and our WR's were as good as UT's.
