Just interested to get everybody's honest opinion of Michigan's team. I know they lost to a 1-AA team, and many insults have been thrown......and with good reason.
But how good is Michigan really. Top 15, 20? Unranked?
They have the same team that they had before the loss. Will the defense come together?
I personally don't think that the defense is to blame........well, not totally. I don't care if App St. scored 34. Michigan should have scored 50 or more. When will Carr trust Henne and his offensive players, and cut them loose? After they graduate?
Damn I hope Carr stays! Please let him stay

I think they still have a high powered offense that will put up good numbers all year. But their D has been exposed. The one question I asked all off season was, "If their O puts up 40 each game, can the D hold their opponents under that. I believe the D will struggle all year, but they still have a very good offense. I would hate to be Oregon this week. UM has something to prove now!

I will reserve judgement for a little while. Every team has it's stinker games, just look at UGA vs. Vandy last year. UGA was clearly the better team, but Vandy won. The best teams do not always win, maybe they aren't praying to the football gods hard enough.

No need to pile on after one game...I will say that it will not help those that lose to Michigan the rest of the year. They have to much talent to not bounce back. Those Seniors will not put up with throwing the towel in after one game.

Although, it would not bother me to see them lose them all.

I hate to say it, but I think both Carr and the Michigan players will play the rest of the season balls out. What do they have to lose?

They still have not lost a conference game. There is still a chance that they could win the CC. One game does not a season make.

Perhaps Michigan can win out, other teams will lose two games and the BCS will have to crown Michigan Champs! How funny would that be?

That would be enough to make all of the other conferences demand a playoff.

The best teams do not always win, maybe they aren't praying to the football gods hard enough. I find it funny UGA loses to an improved Vandy team last year and it is an awful loss for UGA. Yet, the same people are saying this same Vandy team will upset someone this year, and this must be based on what they accomplished last year. So what is it? Is Vandy awful and therefore all the smack comments towards UGA losing to them is warranted, or is Vandy a team with some talent and warrants serious recognition as a team that can beat you? If this is so, then wouldn't that negate the bullshit tossed UGA's way concerning getting upset by Vandy? I just do not get it. I guess it depends on whatever is being discussed. I try to stay consistant in my thinking, but that is just me.

Michigan is overated and should not schedule those kind of power houses this early in the season, lesson learned i guess

Look, Mich lost to a team that we know is not as good. UL did the same last year. And so did a bunch of others. It happens every week. This week was Michigans "day in the Barrell". As far as how good they are or aren't....I'll watch their next game and give an opinion.

Why would Ap State want D-1A status when they can dominate D-1AA? That formula works for Montana.

Michigan could win the rest of their games this season. Personally, I'm happy to not be playing against them next weekend. I don't think they'll be in a congenial mood.
The opposing team (whoever that is, I don't keep track of Big 11 schedules) should probably stock up on splints and Absorbine Junior.
