When you are in the dock and the folks doing the talking are Senators and Congressmen/women, they don't ask. They tell. Actually tell or implied. And they all enjoy putting on a show for their constituents. It's sad that is the perception. I personally know a Dem Congressman that is also a Naval Reserve that I'm quite certain wouldn''t have gone that route. It doesn't have to be that way. Holden?

Condescending? I thought it was pretty cordial, myself. She asked, "Please." I listened to it again - I didn't hear "please"

It would have been great if the General looked up in a a sarcastic voice and said
"Bitch says what"
then you hear Babs say
"What?!?"

Which one? She has put in equal amounts of work to earn a lot of different titles. After all this is the same Senator Boxer that refused to refer to President Bush as President she would refer to him as Mr Bush, and refered to the VP as Mr Chaney. I think they worked pretty hard for their titles also.
Bitch should realize respect is a two way street.

Maybe he should have said sir That's funny. If you listen to the clip it kind of sounds like he does. At the very end he says, "Yes Senator" but it sure sounds pretty close to "Yes sir."
