Richt to Miami. Book it.
That being said...this is foolish...the Les Miles nonsense ( how do you fire a coach who has 2 national titles and wins 75% of his games?!)...LSU removed thir heads from their asses in time....Georgia...not so much.
Take a good hard look at Tennessee...this is where I see Georgia headed...and McGarity is to blame(our evil mole has done good work).
CMR will be successful at his next stop.
Who will coach UGA next...Will Muschamp....that's who I'd love to see...or Goff...give him a 2nd chance...or Donnan (if that is the right spelling) we loved seeing those guys in Jacksonville.
Seriously...the Saban tree has some good ones and the only coordinator to coach move would be Kirby Smart. Coach Mac's job at UF has raised the bar on 1st year caches in the SEC.
How about Franklin...get him from Penn State. Buyout is small...and the guy was successful in the SEC...AT VANDERBILT!
Dunno if they are tired enough of Chip in Philly...yet....

I just heard one of Herchel Walker's personalities will be announced this afternoon as the new UGA coach. They had a deal in place a week ago. Herchel will hire another of his personalities to be OC and another to be DC.

I am hearing Dan Mullen. Foley had some issues with him....McGarity loves him. He is your next UGA coach.

There is no doubt that Kirby Smart will get an interview and will have a chance at being the next UGA coach, but I wonder, every year for the past 3-4 years he has been a candidate at some Div 1 school, interviewed and never been hired. He interviewed for the Auburn job as one example, but for some reason no one has ever given him a shot. Does he do poor interviews?

I maintain had Grier not screwed the pooch (sorry Dawg fans for the current reference)...the Gators COULD be undefeated right now...not blaming Treon for everything...but he did cost us the FSU game. Anyway... Gus walked into the gig after Chizik built it with CAM. Coach Mac did not have a Cam Newton to latch onto...so...I am saying....while that NC was certainly nice....Mac did more with less so to speak.

Well Greek, I would take Mullen over Smart or Muschamp. Hell I would take Franklin before those two. Odds are based on the stupidity of the AD and his track record they will end up with some coach that makes everyone say WTF!!!!!!!!

I would rather have Kirby Smart than Dan Mullen. I think he is the most overrated commodity out there. Leave him in Starkvegas.

Whoever it is, he better win at least 9 regular season games or McGarity is going to be in huge trouble. We ain't talking about rebuilding here. Period.

And how is that working out? Exactly. But dont let that get in the way of Florida fans. I can tell you...hiring Muschamp...while a good coordinator...he makes it tough to support him. His actions in the Bama game reminded me of how he acted when the wheels came off the applecart. Ill say it...Gus was lucky to have Cam. If he did not...I don't even know if he is still the Auburn Head Coach today. (yes...ONE player can be that big of an impact offense...look at 2009 Florida...that was ALL Tebow...look at what happened when Tim graduated...we still had Rainey and Demps...front butt Weis as OC...and we could not even get out of our own way.) Yeah...perfect storm for Gus...I don't think he will win another one or be the coach there in 2 more seasons. Just my opinion...but I think Mac will fair much better in his sophomore season and Junior season at UF than Gus has since his 1st year miracle.

If you take Smart, then Pruitt is gone, I do not see any way around that, those two would most likely clash. I am sitting here thinking realistically who would take the job. He did manage what most likely will be a ten win season. Coaches may look at that and say damn if I dont win the NC the first year I will be gone. This is going to have to be a high profile hire, from what I read on FB, several alumni have said their donations are over, that the few caused this. Not sure at this point if it would not have been wiser to wait another year just to see what may happen.
BTW, why such distain for Mullen?

Chizik didnt want Cam and had to be talked into it. Chizik also pushed for prostyle QB's. (Jeremy Johnson was CHIZIKS recruited QB). The Auburn 2012 disaster (the year Malzahn was at Arky St) Chizik went with a 2 QB system of pro style QB's, both failed (Barrett Trotter and Keihl Frazier) and he went to the 3rd option Jonathan Wallace (now a WR). When Malzahn was named coach BOTH QB's left the program and Malzahn was left without a QB. He brought in Marshall with Johnson as the freshman backup.

If Chub doesnt go down...are we having this discussion? He was good enough to hide Lambert's learning opportunities. The kid who played QB in the WLOCP...that kid is terrible. What I think....I think UGA DOES have rebuilding to do...no QB. WR's scare nobody. Special teams is a joke...and the defense is missing some pieces...but I think if they keep Pruitt the Defense will be fine and better next year. Heard Eason is wavering....

Eason will probably depend entirely on who is hired. If it is someone who runs a spread, he will be gone to someone who runs a pro-style offense.

Possible, but it's not like Michel sucked in that game (171 total yards).

And frankly, that changes the whole equation of the Florida game. With Chubb we don't pull that ridiculous Faton Bauta move. Chubb and Michel work great as a tandem. That being said teams have injuries and have to overcome them. Frankly, in retrospect, this season went down the tubes when Bobo left and we hired Shotty. No doubt in my mind that Bobo would have done better even with Lambert. Bobo left because he wanted to be a head coach. But he also left because McGarity refused to pay him. That Athletic Department was a total disgrace in how they paid their assistants and then turned around and doubled Shotty's pay compared to Bobo. That was the straw that broke the camels back.
