Yes. Arguably the worst thing about all of this is I will be forced to root for the cheating bastards. why would you (be forced to) root for either team? Good point.

My desire right now is for Daniels to win the Heisman.
And maybe the playoff games turn out to be better than the previous years. Blowouts in the playoffs are not fun to watch. I think most people like the games like Bama - Georgia, close to the end.
Geaux Tigers.

So here in the historic Rose Bowl CFB playoff semifinal: in this corner, we have a team that had the coach suspended for 6 games due to being caught cheating in 2 separate scandals…the Michigan Wolverines. And in this corner we have a team that is only here because of name recognition and the money they bring to ESPN. A team that needed a Hail Mary to beat an awful Auburn team that got scorched by 3 TDs by Ne Mexico Sate a week ago…your Alabama Cash Money Crimson Tide. Yea, I think I’ll skip watching this one. Yes. Arguably the worst thing about all of this is I will be forced to root for the cheating bastards. So there is a chance that you might root for the Astros in the future.

LOL. So, the regular season doesn't matter. I mean, I get it- FSU beat your team 2 years in a row, but get over it. You need to get over it - Bama's in. Much like when non-conference champs made it in the past, I'll pass. This time they are conference champs, but they don't deserve to be in a real playoff based upon the current criteria. The resume' is not better, and Alabama too had games in which it performed poorly. The SEC has not been the dominant conference this year, yet somehow Alabama "deserves" to be in. LMAO at this joke of a playoff. The next one won't be any different because they are stuck to this "deserve" mentality. They never should have given them trophies when they were little and they would know what it means to "earn" their way in.

So let’s say Alabama went 13-0. But they struggled in their last couple of games because their QB got hurt. They still won, but didn’t get too many style points. Would they be in the playoff? Let's say they struggled against Auburn, Arkansas, South Florida, and TAMU while losing to Texas.....The season should matter. If UGA and Alabama were to play again, who would win? Most deserving my big fat hairy a$$.

The most entertaining part of this, IMO, is how the posters who have always been on the side of having the "best teams" in the playoff have turned to the "most deserving" side. Pure hypocrisy, and I think being butthurt might have a lot to do with it. Speak for yourself. While Bama would be in my format, so would Liberty. In the current format, there is no way Bama deserves to be in there.

The sad part of all this - I really don't care for Bama a whole lot. I have watched Bama pound my beloved Tigers time and time over the years. My first year in college I watched the Tigers defeat Bama in Bear's first season in a game that was played in Mobile, Alabama. Since that time victories have been few and far between. So I really don't have much love for Bama. But IMO they deserve to be in the playoffs. They lost an early game when they were having QB problems. They won the rest of their games including the number one team in the country in their last game. I just wish that Saban had stayed at LSU and not gone to Miami - who knows how many NC's LSU might have or maybe no more after Nick's first NC with LSU. I would be okay with FSU over Bama because my grandson would be elated and I would be happy for him. I just don't see how anyone can say that, right now, FSU is a better team than Bama. It was in plain sight to everyone yesterday. Now, we have to go back to the same old argument of selecting the best teams or the most deserving teams. All of a sudden, it seems like a lot of people have changed their minds. Is it the color of the uniform that you like? Because if you look at the entirety of the season, Bama has not been great. Compare common opponents. Look at all the games, the OOC of the conference. That is why I absolutely hate this system. It is broken and until there is one standard for every team in the FBS this shit will happen.

FSU got screwed. Period. End of discussion.
Frankly, Washington should be number 1. Their resume and eye test is better than the Ann Arbor cheaters.
And to boot, because of it, number 2 Washington has to go to New Orleans and play Texas in what will essentially be a Longhorn home game.

With the 12 team format next year, I doubt that we will ever have a thread like this one again. But who knows, not I for sure.

You can up the number to whatever you like, see college basketball. As long as there is not an standard for all teams to qualify and we depend upon moving targets and opinions clouded with dollar signs, we will have chaos.

Admittedly, I watched very little football this year but man college football keeps getting worse by the year. And when they go to a 12 team playoff, the regular season will be even more meaningless. It’s a shame because CFB used to be unique but it’s lost all of that in pursuit of the dollars. We all knew it was going to happen but still gotta feel bad for FSU.
