Just what we need. And we know that the Oklahoma Legislature is not going to allow OU to come without little brother.

Seriously, I wouldn't be shocked if it happens. May as well bring in OSU, Michigan, USC and UCLA too

Texas is going to go for not being the king of the conference anymore?

Texas issues a statement that is about as soft and non committal as they get

Very soft. If it wasn't true, they would say so.

Latest word is that Texas says they want in, but they demand that A&M be moved to the East.

I think they talked. A lot of issues to deal with like Okie State, the Longhorn Network, and everyone hates being in a conference with Texas.

LOL Texas has sucked for over a decade.... Fuck Texas.
OU and Texas will become 9 win ceiling teams every year... but still get the $$$...
But this is a play or NIL... they need the SEC TV deals or the donors to buy players.
I just hop that when this happens.... Texas Tech, OkState, KU and KSU go to the Pac.... I don't care what happens to TCU and Baylor... they can join the AAC....
Good thing TTU is good in Baseball, Baseball, and other things... and is the closest to the Pac.. also opens up Texas without really intimidating anyone in the Pac... its a win win.

OKstate made a statement that they dislike this idea and would fight or whats best for them..... sounds like they would not make this easy for OU to leave them.
TTU on the other hand has gone a different route so far... they don't want to make enemeies the way TAMU did and look to keep the Yearly OOC games with UT if they leave...
Also very very earlier reports that he Pac12 VERY quietly is looking at who they could bring in..... sine the Big12 is reportedly going to be aggressive in offense schools to come to the Big12... namely CO. Nebraska, and poaching others.

Strike that eastern Mizzou and move Vandy to the west. Then with Vandy, Texas, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Miss State, the SEC West becomes what the SEC East is today.

The next step for the rest of the 114 teams left out of the newly forming SEC Semi-pro football league:
File giant lawsuit.
don't laugh. the case would simply go after the equality of the NCAA model and attempt to force equality in TV contracts and representation under the NCAA model. Of course the SEC would then attempt to simply leave the NCAA in football only... the NCAA would deny that, the SEC would cave since the other sports could not survive without the NCAA... and the SEC would brea back apart. The SEC wants this to happen to open up 2 more sports or the new 12-team playoff. They would get 2 more teams in yearly nearly guaranteed.
But if this lawsuit goes through, the SEC would bd dead due to over expansion. The NIL would be out of control.... then with the new money sharing agreement after the lawsuit, the schools would then turn to the ATHLETES to get part of there NIL... which won't go over well.... then more lawsuits.
Its funny.. but this OU/UT/SEC greed play will likely be the only thing that can undo pandaroris box of NIL and create a domino effect that puts college sports back on amateur levels....

OKst is already working on a plan to do just that.... there are about 15 lawyers ready to file the second OU/UT announce move... But they CAN'T announce the move for3 years. The Big12 contract says they would both OWE $105milion if they announced they were leaving..... they have to play dumb until 2024... then leave all at once.. which then puts you back into lawsuit grounds....

Which comes almost exclusively from a sport they don't do a damn to support. They are totally a welfare collector. Their stadium and football facilities are a disgrace. Yet they spend their money on everything else. They are smarter than anyone else who puts up with their arrogant bullshit every year.
