Here are some more stats for Daniels:
Daniels was named the SEC’s Co-Offensive Player of the Year for a fifth time following his performance in Saturday’s 56-14 victory over Georgia State. Daniels tied the school’s record, joining Joe Burrow, with eight touchdowns responsible for – six passing and two rushing. He compiled 509 of his team’s 582 total offense in just over three quarters of action.
Through 11 games this season, Daniels has totaled 3,577 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, 1,014 rushing yards and 10 rushing scores.
Second-year offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock was named a semifinalist for the Broyles Award. Five finalists will be selected and then an overall winner named. He’s helped engineer on the nation’s top offenses that’s No. 1 in total offense (562.2), scoring (46.8) and plays of 20-plus yards (95). The Tigers have reached 500-plus yards in offense in nine games, topped two weeks ago by a 701-yard output against Florida.
Who is your favorite to win the award?

Some are saying that the player has to be on a very good team. LSU has 3 losses, but without Daniels - probably loses at Arkansas and Missouri and maybe Florida. LSU has a very bad defense this year.
The Heisman Memorial Trophy usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games.

Nix and Penix are both from the PAC so that might hurt each of them as they might divide the votes coming from the west coast. Marvin Harrison will draw some votes from the Midwest. I would think Daniels would draw most of the votes from Southeast. Should be interesting.
Daniels needs a big game against the Aggies and LSU has to win the game to keep him in the chase. Nix and Pennix also need big games, but they will have an extra game to play in the PAC championship game. Note - Oregon has to defeat Oregon St. this week for Nix to get the extra game.
Exciting close to the 2023 college football season.

Daniels. If he had a defense playing halfway decent he'd be a shoe in.

Of course, should stats garnered against Georgia State in the 4th quarter when up 42-14 mean anything? Contrast with Bo Nix who threw for 404 and 6 TDs *in the first half* against ASU this weekend, and then was pulled and didn't play in the second half.

Daniels. If he had a defense playing halfway decent he'd be a shoe in. If he had a defense that played halfway decent he wouldn't be throwing as much.

Nix wins hands down if it was about only performance.

I think Daniels and Nix have separated themselves from the others. Would love to see Carson Beck be invited to NY, but don't think it will happen, even if Georgia wins out.

Nix wins hands down if it was about only performance. How in the hell do you come up with that? I think there is a very good argument for Bo Nix, but winning it hands down?

Daniels. If he had a defense playing halfway decent he'd be a shoe in. If he had a defense that played halfway decent he wouldn't be throwing as much. If they were halfway decent he'd still be putting up the numbers, they would just be able to pull off more wins. Bo Nix has a pretty good defense, which is why they are 10-1 and not 8-3 while leading the country in yards and points per game

I know it would never happen but if Bowers does not get hurt and it was truly about the best player in the nation he deserved it. That dude is the best player in CFB when healthy

Daniels stats in the LSU loses: FSU 42-24, Ole Miss 55 -49 and Bama 42-28
FSU passing 22/37 347 1TD 1 int - tipped running 15 64 0 40 yds
Ole Miss passing 27/36 414 4 0 running 15 99 1 55
Bama passing 15/24 219 2 1 int - tipped running 11 163 1 40
But the Heisman Trophy contender for the Tigers (6-3, 4-2) was hurt on a hard hit that drew a flag early in the fourth quarter. He briefly reentered the game but didn't run a play, heading to the medical tent after a penalty and a timeout. LSU didn't score any points after Daniels left the game.

I have and would have zero issue with him winning it but if I am drafting first round or if both are available in the portal and I only have the NIL money to afford one and both are available, give me Bowers. I will find a QB that can get him the football.

I don't know how well Daniels will play as a QB in the NFL - but he would make a pretty good WR, IMO.
